Post Comparison - Oulline of Equipe III to Fanatic & MOD
I was comparing the outlines of the following:
New Mistral Equipe III (using the image from the Mistral web page)
The Current Mistral One Design
My Fanatic X-Class Cat 380 (1998 vintage)
In the image the bright orange in the background is the Equipe III hull outline below the MOD and Fanatic. I also tossed on lines to compare the deck geometry of mast track, centerboard, and foot straps.

Hey Teak Boy,
Thanks for your efforts in comparing the three boards. Much appreciated.

This is a nice analysis. It's a reminder of the tail-width revolution that has occurred in windsurfing design over the past 10-15 years.

Longboards have largely missed out on this revolution, but I think we might see a progression in longboard design over the next few years. We can only hope.
