 Raceboard worlds 2008
I understand that the Raceboard world champs are on at the moment in Poland.
I can't find any results or a list of entries. Does anyone know where I can find this information?

 Re: Raceboard worlds 2008
It's youth & masters worlds but RB Europeans. Results up on raceboard.org
Interesting to see Remi Ledoux scored 8th overall including a couple of second places using (I believe) the Bic 310 Hybrid. No doubting that's a good shape, even though it's pretty heavy.

 Re: Raceboard worlds 2008
The results are shown at the following link: http://www.raceboard.org/page0143v01.htmIt looks like there was some good close racing. I'd like to see the following added to each sailor's results: the board and sail used, the sailor's weight and age.

 Re: Raceboard worlds 2008
In my opinion good sailors were placed ahead. It was again not the question of board for the Raceboard class. Youth (only hybrids), seniors and masters started and sailed the same course, with totally 59 sailors, see Raceboard Europeans Results. Max Wojcik, POL 729, who win clearly sailed with the very first Fanatic Mega Cat, build 1994. The sails he used were a vertical cut Arrows from mid 90´s and a Mistral One Design 7.4m. Within the Youth Hybrid class Bic Hybrid has advantage against RS:X at lighter winds, which is known for longer time. During the races 5, 6, 10 and 11 wind force was about up to 21 knots. Races 10 and 11 additionally with waves. During these races youth hybrids, i.e. LTU 14 and FRA 299 sailed good results. You can see some information about boards and sails which were sailed within the Masters class at http://ftp.dwsv.net/Results_2008/Raceboard_Masters_Worlds_2008_Equipment.htmHere you can see some sail pics: http://ftp.dwsv.net/News_2008/Gold_und_Silber_fuer_RSCC_Surfer_bei_WM_in_Polen.htm

 Re: Raceboard worlds 2008
Thank you Murat!
Maybe the bad results of the new boards (Phantom... and I do not see any Warp X 380) explain the silence about the boards results...

 Re: Raceboard worlds 2008
It is very interesting that the newly released boards have a low representation.
I expect that the larger centreboard and wider tails would: give them a competitive advantage; be broadly adopted; and place near the top of the rankings. Perhaps it will take a few years for this to occur.
As a pan-am sailor, I am pleased to see the ongoing success of this design.
Also very interesting is that many of the sails appear to be modern, formula-style sails with floppy leeches. I can personally vouch for the improved effectiveness of a tight leeched course racing sail over a formula-style sail.

 Re: Raceboard worlds 2008
Some followup questions:
Were these master's results comparable to the open raceboard division in terms of boards and sails used?
What is the age limit for the masters category?
