I'm trying to find a replacement sliding masttrack for a raceboard. One option is to use an neil pryde rsx track. They are listed as a replacement part on their website($HK 450). However from photos they look quite short. So the question is does anyone know the length of these tracks? Alternatively are there other sources for replacements. The local shop is trying to source a mistral track - anyone know who makes the tracks for the exocet and starboard?

My understanding is that the tracks that are in the Phantom and the Warp are made at the Cobra Factory where most of the boards come from. Perhpas your retailer could ask the Starboard importer to see if they could get one of these tracks.

Is the RS:X track a completely separate unit? How hight is it?
I have a Kona Style and I had the idea to retro-fit an adjustable mast track to it. I was going to do this by getting an adjustable unit like the RS:X, drilling 2 holes through the bottom then bolting it to the existing fixed track in much the same way as bolting on a mast base.

Then I was going to make up a wedge shaped EVA frame to go round it for protection.

We get some pretty gusty winds here and during any one session, the winds can vary up and down quite a bit. Being able to vary the mast position on the fly would be a real bonus, the step tail doesn't always compensate for a fixed track.....

The rsx track is basically a channel of aluminium 30mm deep. There is a carriage into which the mast base pin plugs. To fit it you'd need to route a channel in your board reinforce with fibreglass and screw the track in. I don't think screwing it directly onto the deck of a board would be wise. Its fairly thin aluminium and without side support would flex and distort.
