Hi I would like to say hello to everybody around.
I am from the Netherlands and love to windsurf.
Bought myself a longboard this week and I came across the longboard forum on the internet.
I used to sail a lot on the old skool boards. This is why I bought a F2 Lightning World Cup Edtion.
I am really stoked about it because it took some efforts to find one.
see the link below for a picture.

I hope i can make a contribution to the forum and will post my findings when i have
sailt the F2 lightning.

Various Lightnings were built from about '83 to the 2000s. At a guess, that one may be a late '80s version - maybe even a very late model of the '84????

Having said that, I'm probably totally wrong.

There seems to be a fair bit of longboarding in the Netherlands, isn't there?

Hi,

Thnx for the answer, we have small revival of LB sailing especially the Kona is really coming up and ofcourse the weekend, camping on the waterside people that still enjoy their oldskool board that they ones bought in the 80's and now been used by the whole family.
Besides that their is a group of people that is using longboards for waveriding in light conditions.

I came across this f2 model:
This must be a later model looking at the modern prints?

Nice find, the Lightning looks like it's in good condition. I'd say your board was released in the early to mid nineties. There is a video click here which features longboards from around the era of your board.

Enjoy sailing it.
