Post Mistral Super Light
I'm looking a getting a Classic Mistral Super Light with 2 masts, 2 booms 2 sails. As I'm fairly new to the sport any tips on what I should be looking at/for. I currently sail an banged up Vinta and a No Namer...so i guess this would be my 'good ' board. I've been out ~10 times in the fall winds and getting hooked.

Any thoughts or info on the older Mistral Super Lights would be great??

Post State what you wanna do with it
Congrats - you picked the right sport. It gets more fun and you learn more all the time, even after 25 years.

Where do you live, ocean or inland? Windy place or flaky winds like me :-(

Where do you want to get to later with windsurfing? A few possibilities:

- wavesailing if you're ocean-side
- fun & tricks & freestyle
- just getting about and cross-country
- what I call 'right-and-left' in fair winds
- racing later on? it's fun, can be social and challenging at once.

You may want to spend 1-2 years just getting about and exploring. Just that will be fun enough. Spend that time to decide of next steps and improve. Teach family & friends, make it a social activity. Spread the gospel.

Personally, I always recommend to improve through fun sailing and freestyle, but that\'s me.

Lotsa possibilities, huh?
