From what I can gather there were 3 Aust raceboards

AHD eliminator

I'm not sure about the AHD - but this is the board I have and recently when de-rigging a guy c recognized the board as an eliminator and told me AHD started as a company in Brisbane also called AstroSurf. Anyone have info on these boards - was the AHD really Australian?

What about the Jim French raceboards and the light wind Darts? Surely the first of the proper Aus raceboards. The blisteringly fast lightwind Darts that cleaned up everything in that brief golden period of unlimited development before it became pop out manufactured racing(No wonder sailboarding died!). 15 foot of unlimited class round bottom insanity.They were like an extended Davidson or Lechner but drawn out to a superfine skiff like bow. Hollow Divinycell cored epoxy foam sandwich and framed up internally. I still have one in perfect nick if anyone is interested. As new with 9.5m sail, $500. s3084105@student.rmit.edu.au

The Jim French raceboard I believe was thrown into the limelight by the Bombora Racing team in the late eighties. Mark Paul, Bruce Wylie (I think), Bruce Kendal and Rohan Cudmore made up the team. I would love to see a photo of one? From memory they had a tail like the original Equipe and one of the first raceboards with real boxy rails.
